YOU HAVE PURPOSE!

YOU HAVE PURPOSE!

For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will rise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” —Esther 4:14

“For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will rise for the Jews from another place.”  Is this principle not true for us today as well?  Our Lord God Almighty has called us to be witnesses and disciple-makers.  If we are not faithful and keep silent He will work through someone else.  He does not need us, but He desires to do His work through us and desires us to work along with Him as fellow laborers (I Corinthians 3:9).  But if we do not, then He will work through someone else.  He is not hindered by our unyieldingness to His work.

God has us living “for such a time as this” — “From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us” (Acts 17:26-27).  So God set our appointed time in history to be living and He has placed us where we live and move  and it is in Him that “we live and move and have our being” (v. 28).  And as He has placed us in time and place so He has everyone else that perhaps they may reach out to Him.  So let us encourage people to do just that— to reach out to Him.  Let us bring the message to them—

for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”  How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” —Romans 10:13-15

Yes!  This time that you are living and the place you are living were determined by God.  He enables us to live and move where we do.  This is all for His purposes in and through your life.  Now, “we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do” (Ephesians 2:10).   Jesus “gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good” (Titus 2:14).  Are we eager to do the good that He desires us to do?  He has put us in this time and place for His plans and purposes.  May we be eager to accomplish what He wants us to be and do for His glory.  Mau it be so!

Yes, Dear Father, may I be faithful to the plans and purposes You have for me in this time and in this place.  May this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FLX83HbefrI
