LESSONS FROM A CHILD— DO NOT HINDER THEM!

Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God. Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it. —Luke 18:16-17

An atheist says, “There is no God.”  An agnostic says, “You can’t know God or anything about the existence of God.”  Both are unscientific, illogical conclusions.  Both are excuses to do what one wants to do.  Both are hypocritical because if we are just accidents, existing by random chance and survival of the fittest, then why do they not truly live like that?  No, typically atheists and agnostics live within the law as others do.  Why do atheists and agnostics live according to the law?  Why do they bow to man’s will?  Who is to say what law is?  Who is to say what is right and wrong?  If there is no right and wrong, then why do atheists and agnostics stop at stop signs?  Is stopping at a stop sign right or wrong?  Is it just a psychological reason that one stops at a stop sign?  Is it just being conditioned that if one does not stop they could get a ticket?  That if one does not stop there could be a punishment?  Why is that?  Why, if we are atheists or agnostics are we going by any law when atheists or agnostics would say there are not absolutes?  It surely looks like they believe in absolutes when they stop at stop signs.

Children are not born atheists or agnostics.  God has put eternity into man’s heart (Ecclesiastes 3:11).  Evidence is all around as “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands.  Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge.  Without speech or language, without a sound to be heard, their voice has gone out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world” (Psalm 19:1-4). People come to a point where they deny the obvious but “since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood from His workmanship, so that men are without excuse” (Romans 1:20).  No, children are not atheists.  They learn to become atheists and agnostics, but truly at heart there is no such thing because God has revealed that He exists to every person on the planet who lives… past, present and future.  Deny Him if you desire, but that does not diminish the truth of His existence.

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these” (Luke 18:16).  Jesus has something to say to those who hinder children from coming to Him— “If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them if a large millstone were hung around their neck and they were thrown into the sea” (Mark 9:42).

No children are born atheists or agnostics.  Woe to those who hinder these from coming to Jesus.  Woe to those who influence others to deny the existence of God or the ability to know God.  Woe to those who deny the obvious and encourage others to do the same.  There is no excuse for it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJNnPbKu6tw

Dear Father may we encourage children to come to You.  Help them understand who Jesus is and oh may many of them live for Jesus all their life and be with Him forever!  May this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.
