JUSTICE!

Do not pervert justice or show partiality. Do not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and twists the words of the innocent. —Deuteronomy 16:19

            Justice is not to be perverted.  We live in an age where justice is perverted greatly.  It seems there are those who are above the law and can do whatever they want and not be held accountable.  Positions of power and money are given partiality.  People are favored and justice is perverted and innocent people suffer.

            Bribes happen all the time and are out in the open.  Our world is so corrupt and that is exactly what sin does.  It is corrosive to a culture, to a people and to a nation.  Nothing good comes for the darkness and depravity of sin.  Praise God that He cleanses every follower of His from sin or we would not have any hope.

            Bribes “blind the eyes of the wise and twists the words of the innocent.  This is wickedness.  People can say they believe in God, but when these actions are taking place it is surely proving they either do not know Him or are not lovingly and obediently following Him.  How sad when the innocent are treated as guilty just because of a bribe.  How sad that the innocent are treated as liars because of a bribe.  Well, in the end our Lord will set all things right.  He will!

            We live in a world where many injustices happen.  This bears out evidentially the sinful world that we live in.  Sin perverts justice.  Sin shows partiality.  Sin accepts bribes. Sin blinds the eyes of the wise.  Sin twists the words of the innocent.  Sin lies…

            Brother and sister let us walk wisely and discerningly through this sin-sick, sin-infested world.  Be aware!  If you have not been affected by perverted justice, partiality and innocent words being twisted because of bribes— then you have been fortunate!  But it can happen at anytime… so be aware and seek our Lord’s guidance if and when it comes upon you.  Trust Him and be honest!

Dear Father I am so grateful that You know all things.  I am so grateful that You reveal the truth.  I am so thankful for truthful witnesses.  I am so thankful that there is nothing to fear when nothing wrong is done.  Thank You for those in positions of power that do not pervert justice, that do not show partiality, that do not accept bribes, that do not twist the words of the innocent.  Oh, that we would have more of these people in places of authority.  May it be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=paHfnVzy4ak
