GO WHERE HE DESIRES YOU TO GO!

Jesus replied, “Let us go somewhere else—to the nearby villages—so I can preach there also. That is why I have come.” So he traveled throughout Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and driving out demons. —Mark 1:38-39

            Jesus, among many other reasons, came to preach the good news all over and not just in one place.  This is a good example for us to emulate.  Let us not be rigidly focused only on our immediate area where we live, but let us consider where else our Lord would want us to bring His Word.  Who else other than those in our immediate area does He want us to speak to?

            Lord who do you want me to speak to today?  Do we really believe He will answer that prayer?  Will we pray that prayer?  Will we then be on the lookout as to who that person is or who those people are today?

            When I pray of our Lord to guide me to someone He does.  Recently I prayed this and later in the day I decided to go for a walk in a mall.  First, I couldn’t believe how empty that mall is not.  One whole half of the mall was totally empty and the other half was three-quarters empty.  Anyway, during my walk I saw a fellow sitting on a bench.  We greeted each other and I asked if he would like to hear a story.  He said “yes” and that opened up the opportunity to share the gospel and dialogue with him for quite some time.  The man was a Jehovah Witness and before we parted I gave him a Gospel of John and asked him to read it like he was reading it for the first time without any outside influence.  Oh, Lord may you encourage him to do so.

            So that mall is about 40 minutes from my home.  Let us pray and then let us be open to where our Lord desires us to go.  Many times the opportunities happen as we are going about our daily routine.  We just need to pray and be sensitive to people as we talk with them and trust our Lord to guide us to those who are open to the hearing His Word.

So today, Dear Father, may You guide me to the person or persons that You desire me to speak with to share this Good News about Jesus with.  May this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FW5o2uBeMWQ
