PRAISE HIM!

 PRAISE HIM!

Praise the LORD! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens! Praise him for his mighty deeds; praise him according to his excellent greatness! Praise him with trumpet sound; praise him with lute and harp! Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him with strings and pipe! Praise him with sounding cymbals; praise him with loud clashing cymbals! Let everything that has breath praise the LORD! Praise the LORD! —Psalm 150:1-6

Praising our Lord needs to be our focus.  A life without praising Him will be a life without peace because we are not praising the One who gives peace.  We are to praise Him on earth and in heaven.  We are to “praise Him for His mighty deeds.”  We are to praise Him for “His excellent greatness!”  We are to praise Him with musical instruments.  We are to praise Him with voice.

There may be times when we do not feel like giving Him praise because of difficulty, but we are to praise Him who will help us in and through the difficulty.  Praise Him for all the other followers of Jesus around you that give support and encouragement while in a storm.  Praise Him for the opportunity He gives you to encourage others when they are going through a storm.  Praise Him for “His excellent greatness” that is far greater than any storm.  Be around others to praise Him together. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T4KMmVKnwMc&list=RDT4KMmVKnwMc&start_radio=1

The Book of Psalms ends with praise.  Today is December 31, 2021.  Let us take some time and praise Him for all that He is, for all that He has done this past year and for what He will do in the coming year.  Praise is tri-focal— for the past, for the present, for the future.  Yes, let us take time and praise Him in this last day of 2021.

Dear Father I am so amazed when I ponder who You are and for sending Jesus that I could be saved from my sin and to a relationship with You through Him.  I praise You for Your great love, kindness, patience, compassion…  May I be more like You by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of  Your Son Jesus.  Yes, may this be so!
