HE SATISFIES AND PRESERVES!

 You open your hand; you satisfy the desire of every living thing. —Psalm 145:16 

 The LORD preserves all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy. —Psalm 145:20

             Think of every living creature, every living organism and all living vegetation— all life is satisfied by our Lord’s open hand.  If He were to close His hand and withhold then every living thing would die.  “Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?” (Matthew 6:26).

            I am amazed as I look at trees.  These giants are held upright by their footprint of roots.  Trees are astoundingly flexible as they sway in the breezes.  Ice storms cause accumulations of ice coats that case smaller trees to bend over and touch the ground with their tops.  Amazingly when the ice coat melts off most of these trees slowly regain their vertical stand.  It is estimated that there are over 3 trillion trees on earth.  Our Lord takes care of each one.  And we have not every considered the flowers, the animals, the birds or fish!  All life’s desires are satisfied by our Lord’s open hand.  Again, if He were to close His hand and withhold… all life would die.

So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.  But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. —Matthew 6:31-34

            Look at how our Lord takes care of all living things.  Will He not take care of those who love Him?  Of course He will.  We can be absolutely assured of that.  We may not understand all His ways, but we can understand that He will take care of us and guide us into everlasting you with Himself.  Yes, we can be sure of that! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4x8TZiwPGa0  His care for all living things is a constant reminder of His care and concern for all who love Him!

Dear Father I am truly amazed as I consider Your care for all living things.  I am also greatly encouraged that as You care for all living things You will care for all of us who love You.  May I keep my eyes focused on Jesus by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  So be it.
