OUR HEART’S DESIRE
OUR HEART’S DESIRE
God answered Solomon, “Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked possessions, wealth, honor, or the life of those who hate you, and have not even asked long life, but have asked wisdom and knowledge for yourself that you may govern my people over whom I have made you king, wisdom and knowledge are granted to you. I will also give you riches, possessions, and honor, such as none of the kings had who were before you, and none after you shall have the like.” —II Chronicles 1:11-2
Truly, if God had said to you, “Ask whatever you desire and I will give it to you”— What would you have asked for? Would it have been for possessions? Wealth? Honor? Revenge? Long life? Be honest… Or would you have asked for wisdom and knowledge to serve according to our Lord’s desire?
Oh that we need God’s wisdom and knowledge to be able to serve Him according to His desires. May that be our heart’s desire. Is it our heart’s desire? He has given us Word. How often do we seek out what He says? Think about it. When was the last time you were in His Word, listening to what He was saying and then desiring to be faithful to what He said to you? Your answer really is an indicator as to how much you desire His wisdom and knowledge. May we be regularly seeking Him, His wisdom, His knowledge and serve accordingly. May it be so! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OHRZxkluZ_Q
Dear Father my heart’s desire is to honor You above all and to serve You according to Your desires. May You be pleased to give me the wisdom and knowledge I need to do so. May this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YiS2QzvDhQc
