BEWARE OF DECEPTION!

BEWARE OF DECEPTION!

His speech was smooth as butter, yet war was in his heart; his words were softer than oil, yet they were drawn swords. —Psalm 55:21

There are those who are masters at speech, but what they say and the intents and motives of the heart are diametrically opposed from each other. This is not an accident. It is very intentional because they have a wicked plan devised and are stealthily seeking to put it into operation. Beware of those who do not know our Lord Jesus and are in positions of power and influence. Their desires, worldview and intentions are not godly. The motivations of their heart may surely not match the speech that flows from their mouth.

Where can we find truth that we know is truth?   Well God alone is Truth. His Word is true and we can trust His Word fully.   Everything should be measured by His Truth in this world that is so full of lies, distortions, deceptions and evil intentions. Yes, we need to be listening to our Lord God Almighty daily for guidance in this world of dark shadows, evil shadows where danger lurks. Beware of those who seek to impose their beliefs and values onto the Word of God. Yes, beware of them!

Spend enough time with someone or listen to them long enough and you will see if their actions match their speech. Jesus told us that “by their fruits you will know them” because “out of the heart” actions will follow (Matthew 7:20) and “as he thinks in his heart, so he is” (Proverbs 23:7). A man’s true character cannot be hidden forever. It will eventually come out.

This is why are told to “not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world” (I John 4:1). Don’t be gullible. There are those in positions of power that even claim to be followers of Jesus but their actions bear evidence that this is not the case when they can habitually go against the Truth. Again, “His speech was smooth as butter, yet war was in his heart; his words were softer than oil, yet they were drawn swords.”   Watch out for these dangerous people and pray for them as we are told to pray for all men… even enemies. But… beware! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=On-whMoulOM

Dear Father please give me wisdom to identify what is false and to stand for the Truth. May this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus. May it be so!
