HE IS OUR LIFE AND LIGHT

 For with you is the fountain of life; in your light do we see light. —Psalm 36:9

 “In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind” (John 1:4).  Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6).   Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life” (John 6:68). “When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light  (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) and find out what pleases the Lord. Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.  It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret” (Ephesians 5:8-12). So this is how we are to live. Are we? Is there goodness and righteousness in our lives? Are we living to please our Lord? As His children why would we seek to do anything else other than those things that are pleasing in His sight? Life… abundant life (John 10:10) only come through Jesus. May we live to please Him! Yes, dear Father may this be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus. So be it!
