KEEP GOOD COMPANY!

 Let not your heart envy sinners, but continue in the fear of the LORD all the day. Surely there is a future, and your hope will not be cut off. —Proverbs 23:17-18

 Be not envious of evil men, nor desire to be with them, for their hearts devise violence, and their lips talk of trouble. —Proverbs 24:1-2

            Fellow follower of Jesus the hope we have is eternal! We live for Jesus now and we will be with Him forever! What a great future we have and that “hope will not be cut off.” So do not envy sinners or evil men. Don’t even desire what they desire. Companionship with them or being yoked with them (II Corinthians 6:14-18) only leads to trouble.

            Instead, “continue in the fear of the LORD all the day.” Do so today, tomorrow and for the rest of your life.   Our future is sure! Even though there are those who do not want to live for our Lord or even hate Lord, we know the end result. They may be prospering now or be in power positions, but their time is limited and destruction will be their end. Not so with all who love our Lord. There is a glorious and eternal future ahead as well as the opportunity to live and serve our Lord now. So let us rejoice! Nothing escapes His notice… nothing!

Dear Father may I keep my focus on You and Your desires.   Let me not be distracted by those who are not faithful follower of yours. May this be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus.   So be it.
