TRUST HIM AT ALL TIMES!

TRUST HIM AT ALL TIMES!

Oh give thanks to the LORD; call upon his name; make known his deeds among the peoples! Sing to him, sing praises to him; tell of all his wondrous works! Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice! Seek the LORD and his strength; seek his presence continually! Remember the wondrous works that he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he uttered. —Psalm 105:1-5

When he summoned a famine on the land and broke all supply of bread, he had sent a man ahead of them, Joseph, who was sold as a slave. His feet were hurt with fetters; his neck was put in a collar of iron; until what he had said came to pass, the word of the LORD tested him. The king sent and released him; the ruler of the peoples set him free; he made him lord of his house and ruler of all his possessions, to bind his princes at his pleasure and to teach his elders wisdom. —Psalm 105:16-22

They said to one another, “Surely we are being punished because of our brother. We saw how distressed he was when he pleaded with us for his life, but we would not listen; that’s why this distress has come on us.”

Because the patriarchs were jealous of Joseph, they sold him as a slave into Egypt. But God was with him and rescued him from all his troubles. He granted Joseph favor and wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh king of Egypt, who appointed him ruler over Egypt and all his household. —Acts 7:9-10

But Joseph said to them, “Don’t be afraid. Am I in the place of God? You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. So then, don’t be afraid. I will provide for you and your children.” And he reassured them and spoke kindly to them. —Genesis 50:18-21

Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up. —James 4:10

Praise God for His wonderful works. He does things that man could never orchestrate. Those of us who know Him, let us rejoice! Seek Him, seek to be in His presence and in His strength live life!

In the verses above we see pieces of Joseph’s life all under the plan of God. But don’t think for a moment that men are not responsible for their actions because they are.   His brothers sold him into slavery.   His brothers “saw how distressed he was when he pleaded with (them) for his life, but (they) would not listen.”   We are told that God both brought on a famine on the land and had sent Joseph to Egypt. Yes, this was God’s doing and He worked through the actions of man. Joseph’s “feet were hurt with fetters; his neck was put in a collar of iron.” This was very difficult time, BUT GOD WAS IN CONTROL!

“God was with him and rescued him from all his troubles. He granted Joseph favor and wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh king of Egypt, who appointed him ruler over Egypt and all his household.”  Yes, “until what he had said came to pass, the word of the LORD tested him. The king sent and released him; the ruler of the peoples set him free; he made him lord of his house and ruler of all his possessions, to bind his princes at his pleasure and to teach his elders wisdom.” As difficult at things may be at any given time, God’s plans and purposes are being carried out in our lives. Oh that we would trust Him even in the most difficult of circumstances. He is fulfilling His purposes and what may not be understood now all make sense one day.   Trust Him. He always has our best interests in mind.

Dear Father may I trust You in all circumstances— however difficult they may be. May this be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.   So be it!
