REMEMBER!
REMEMBER!
I will remember the deeds of the LORD; yes, I will remember your wonders of old. I will ponder all your work, and meditate on your mighty deeds. Your way, O God, is holy. What god is great like our God? You are the God who works wonders; you have made known your might among the peoples. —Psalm 77:11-14
We need to ponder and remember when things are going well and when things are difficult. Remember how our Lord has worked in your life in the past. Remember how the Lord has worked in history, near and far. Consider His Word and remember how He has worked thousands of years ago. Remember what He says as you look around at creation and your own life. Remember… Besides, as someone once said, “He knows the future better than we remember the past.” So, let us ponder the past, but take courage in this— “He knows the future” and we are safe in His hands (John 10:27-30).
Yes, let us remember and meditate on His wondrous deeds. There is none like Him… none! He has made His power known. Look around… it is clearly evident. Look up… it is obviously evident.
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge. Without speech or language, without a sound to be heard, their voice has gone out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. —Psalm 19:1-4
There is not a person on this planet that has reason not to believe in God. People can state all kinds of excuses for not believing, but that is all they are… excuses. It is because they do not want to believe. They do not want God to be their God. They want to be their own god.
For what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood from His workmanship, so that men are without excuse. —Romans 1:19-20
Fellow follower of Jesus let us thank God that we can look to the heavens and understand He made them by His awesome power. Let us look around the planet and praise Him for His wisdom and creativity. Let us look at our own lives and rejoice that He is ultimately in control and we can fully trust Him. Yes! He keeps all of creation held together— to the farthest points of the universe and to the microscopic world. Hallelujah! I can absolutely trust Him with my life! What joy! What peace! What comfort! Remember… and tell others!
Dear Father I am so grateful as I ponder the works of Your hands now and in the past. You give me such comfort and encouragement in knowing I am safe in Your hands. Now may I faithfully live out Your desires in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus. So be it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_eQd3K2Fxp4
