THE FOLLOWER OF CHRIST’S FOCUS.
The LORD will send on you curses, confusion, and frustration in all that you undertake to do, until you are destroyed and perish quickly on account of the evil of your deeds, because you have forsaken me. —Deuteronomy 28:20
For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken. As a nation we are living in strange times. It is a time when evil is being called good and good evil. There is confusion and frustration in everything around us. But let us not think this is for naught. This is happening because of the evil our nation has taken hold of. It is going contrary more and more to the desires of God and is practicing more and more satanic desires that only lead to destruction— destruction of lives and eventually the destruction of a nation.
Lawlessness, the aborting of the must vulnerable among us— children in the womb, confusion of gender identity, sexual perversions, deceptive communication at all levels, child abuse, school-less children, unaccompanied children coming into our nation, human trafficking, sexual deviants in our leadership… The list goes on and yet there are those who are calling this evil good and those who stand against they call evil. Brother and Sister what are we to do?
We are to do what we are always to do! We will trust in God alone. We are to wait on Him because our hope truly only comes from Him. “Do not put your trust in princes, in human beings, who cannot save” (Psalm 146:3). He is the only one who will never be shaken, my Rock and Fortress. I will never be shaken because He can never be shaken and we belong to a kingdom that cannot be shaken— “The words ‘once more’ indicate the removing of what can be shaken–that is, created things–so that what cannot be shaken may remain” (Hebrews 12:27). Listen, all this, all things that were created, all temporary things are going to be shaken. BUT WE BELONG TO A KINDGOM THAT IS ETERNAL AND WILL NEVER BE SHAKEN!
So my friends in Christ, trust Him at all times. Pour out your heart to Him. “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you” (I Peter 5:7). The world, this system headed up by Satan is not our friend and “Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God” (James 4:4). “The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever” (1John 1:17). There you have it. Let us, brother and sister, continue to do the will of God “so that you may become blameless and pure, ‘children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.’ Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky” (Philippians 2:15).
