HIS INVALUABLE WORD!

HIS INVALUABLE WORD!

And when he sits on the throne of his kingdom, he shall write for himself in a book a copy of this law, approved by the Levitical priests. And it shall be with him, and he shall read in it all the days of his life, that he may learn to fear the LORD his God by keeping all the words of this law and these statutes, and doing them, that his heart may not be lifted up above his brothers, and that he may not turn aside from the commandment, either to the right hand or to the left, so that he may continue long in his kingdom, he and his children, in Israel. —Deuteronomy 17:18-20

Can you imagine if leaders today wrote out for themselves a copy of God’s Word? Consider what their lives might be like it there were to keep His Word with them and read it all the days of their lives! Envision what their lives would look like when they not only read His Word, but there were learning to “fear the Lord” as they applied what they learned.   This would keep them from being prideful toward others. It would also impact their office, his family and those he has authority over… for good!   Would not our world be impacted if there were rulers like that!

How many rulers or those in authority truly follow after God’s Word and have a positive impact on their office, their family and those they have authority over? Not many names come to the forefront of the mind. But may those who are truly living for the Lord in some type of authority position truly make an impact for the glory of God. May it be so!

But it starts with you and me regardless of how rulers live. Brother and Sister if we are fortunate to have a copy of God’s Word (and many have multiple copies, internet access etc), are we reading God’s Word daily? —“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by ever word that proceeds from the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4). Not only are we reading God’s Word, but are we being and doing what He says we are to be being and doing? —“Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says” (James 1:22).

How do you measure, how can you know, what does it look like whether a man is truly seeking to follow God’s Word of not?

This person is not humble, but a user. Self is exalted and he uses deception in relationships to accomplish his desires. He is prideful.

Dear Father please help me to carry out Your desires as I read and apply Your Word. May this be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus.   May it be so. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zRfU2kbBaoU
