NOTHING IS TOO DIFFICULT FOR OUR LORD GOD ALMIGHTY
Thus says the LORD, who gives the sun for light by day and the fixed order of the moon and the stars for light by night, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar— the LORD of hosts is his name: “If this fixed order departs from before me, declares the LORD, then shall the offspring of Israel cease from being a nation before me forever.” Thus says the LORD: “If the heavens above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth below can be explored, then I will cast off all the offspring of Israel for all that they have done, declares the LORD.” —Jeremiah 31:35-37

There is nothing too difficult for our Lord God Almighty. It is He “who gives the sun for light by day.” It is He who has fixed “the order of the moon… for light by night.” It is He who has fixed “the order of the stars… for light by night.” It is He “who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar.” Truly, You have “made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you.”
What great confidence we can have in our Father, His Son and His Holy Spirit— absolute confidence! Nothing at all is too difficult for Him. This “fixed order” will continue. If it ceases then the offspring of Israel will cease to be a nation forever. He also says that “If the heavens above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth below can be explored, then I will cast off all the offspring of Israel for all that they have done, declares the LORD.” This measurement or exploration will never happen. Man’s pride causes him to think he can accomplish such great things, but mankind is limited. God is not.
“Who has ascended to heaven and come down?
Who has gathered the wind in His hands?
Who has bound up the waters in His cloak?
Who has established all the ends of the earth?
What is His name, and what is the name of His Son—
