“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.” —Jeremiah 1:5

In the verse above our Lord God Almighty is speaking about Jeremiah. He knew him before He formed Him in the womb.   Before Jeremiah was born God had a plan for him, an appointment. Those who kill children in the womb are killing those the Lord is forming. They are killing children that He is in the process of forming. Who would do such a thing? It is Satan and all those who are being influenced by that adversary of God (II Timothy 2:26). Satan seeks those he can destroy (I Peter 5:8).

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. —Psalm 139:13-14

Again, it is our Lord God Almighty that forms children in the womb. Those who destroy children in the womb are destroying God’s creation. This is Satanic— “The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that it might devour her child the moment he was born” (Revelation 12:4). This is taking about Jesus when He was born as a child on this earth. Satan worked through Herod to seek to destroy Him— “When Herod saw that he had been outwitted by the Magi, he was filled with rage. Sending orders, he put to death all the boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity who were two years old and under, according to the time he had learned from the Magi” (Matthew 2:16). Children in the womb or out of the womb are always a target of Satan.

How is it that a people can be so deceived as to kill its own children when they are in their most vulnerable state— in the womb? Who can see the pictures of aborted children and not be able to see they are children? Who?   The selfish, the lustful, those blinded by their hurt and pain, those who are fearful, those who are willfully blind, those whose thinking is not right, those who have been deceived or are self deceived, those blinded by Satan (II Corinthians 4:4), those who are disobedient…

Nothing has escaped our Lord’s notice and He will right all wrongs one day.   That day is getting closer— “This will take place when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels in blazing fire, inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus” (II Thessalonians 1:7-8).  Oh, that many would turn to Him before that day! May it be so!

Dear Father may I be faithful to bring Your message to those who don’t know You yet. May this be done in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus. So be it!
