EVER CHANGING

Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator. —Colossians 3:9-10

As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins…  But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. —Ephesians 2:1, 4-5

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. —Romans 12:2

And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. —II Corinthians 3:18

            Those of us who are following Jesus are being renewed in our minds and actions to be more like Jesus. We were dead in sin, but now we are alive in Christ. We were living according to the pattern of this world, but now we are no longer to do that. Instead there is an ever-changing mindset, a new perspective in being more like Jesus, doing His will and not our own. Yes, there is a transformation that is taking place in our lives— a metamorphosis — a gradual changing from what we used to be to what we will be. I thank You Father for what You are doing in and through my life. I cannot do anything of lasting value without You doing it in and through me. May I be a vessel open and willing for You to continually change me on the inside that I would be faithful in serving You. May this be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus.
