Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help and rely on horses, who trust in chariots because they are many and in horsemen because they are very strong, but do not look to the Holy One of Israel or consult the LORD! —Isaiah 31:1
Some trust in chariots and others in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. —Psalm 20:7
No military can stand against our Lord. The horse is strong and the chariot is sturdy, but they are no match for our Lord. No, the power of nations then and the power of nations now are no contest for our Lord. Yet there are those who trust in their chariots and horses, but as a follower of Jesus let us trust in Him. Let us not trust in the feeble flesh of men or horses, armies or instruments of war.
Think of it— the One who created the universe and all that we see and don’t see is the side we are on. We are on the victory side. Our Lord has already established that victory through His death and resurrection, proving Himself to be the all-powerful Son of God. None can stand against Him. All authority in Heaven and on Earth is His. He is the One we stand with.
So today who are we looking to? Who are we consulting with? Let us look to our Lord and consult with Him! He alone is Wisdom and Power. We are to trust in Him and seek His desires. May that be so today and for the rest of our lives! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FLX83HbefrI&list=UUf1NPIFOBwzTLVQiEDnq4Cw&index=15
Dear Father I am grateful to know Jesus and to be known by Him. May I be faithful to what You have called me to and may this be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus.
