HIS GRACE IS ENOUGH!
HIS GRACE IS ENOUGH!
So to keep me from becoming conceited because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, a thorn was given me in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to harass me, to keep me from becoming conceited. Three times I pleaded with the Lord about this, that it should leave me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong. —II Corinthians 12:7-10
Satan cannot do anything without God’s permission according to His plan that He is working out in all creation, on this planet, in any nation and in individual lives. Paul understood what this “messenger of Satan to harass” him was for. It was “to keep me from becoming conceited.” He had asked three times for this “messenger of Satan” to be taken away from him, but the Lord told him three times, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8wN-fspKg1Q
Will you say that with the Apostle Paul? Are you acknowledging that God’s grace is sufficient for you in your weakness? Do you understand that the power of God’s grace “is made perfect in weakness?” It is through our weaknesses that the power of God is truly seen. Think about it— How is God’s power seen more easily? Is it in someone’s “natural abilities” or in someone who does not have the “natural abilities” but is able through God’s grace to accomplish His will through His power?
Paul said that he “will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” Wow! Do you and I have this viewpoint? God’s power and our strength come when His grace is working in and through our “weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities.” Wow… may we get a Pauline, God-given perspective! May we be content as Paul was even in our weaknesses!
What difficulty are you facing? God’s grace is enough! Yield to what He desires to do by His grace power in your life! Dear Father may this be so by grace in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus. So be it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PnS01ubSsCk
