BE A FAITHFUL STEWARD OF GOD

BE A FAITHFUL STEWARD OF GOD

The earth is the LORD’s and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein. —Psalm 24:1

Men think they own land, but they do not. They are only stewards of it. The house you “own” is His. What kind of a steward are you of it? The land that you “own” is His. What kind of steward of it are you? The vehicle(s) you “own” are His. What kind of a steward are you with them? Actually, everything you “own” is His. What kind of a steward are you with His property, including whatever money you have? Even you are His. What kind of a steward are you for Him with yourself?

I always chuckle when I see no trespassing signs. That land or house is my Father’s. He is the owner of everything and everybody. Let us keep this in mind with what He has given us to be a steward of and also with the relationships that we have. Let us also keep this in mind with the people we have contact with. They are also God’s property whether they know Him or not, whether they know He is the owner or not.

Let us approach people with this in mind— God is already the owner of them and we are seeking to help them understand this if they do not already acknowledge this. Let us bring the good news to them.

“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”   How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” —Romans 10:13-15

Even our feet belong to Him. Will they be the “beautiful feet” that bring the good news to others that they too may acknowledge Jesus as Lord and owner of all? Will we be an obedient witness (Acts 1:8) and disciple-maker (Matthew 28:18-20)? Oh that we would be faithful stewards of all His property… including ourselves in obedience!

Dear Father out of loving gratitude of what You have done on my life may I be a faithful steward of Your property. Please give me wisdom and guidance in this that I would be obedient to You. May it be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son, Jesus.   So be it!
