GIVE THANKS AND SING TO HIS NAME!

I will give to the LORD the thanks due to his righteousness, and I will sing praise to the name of the LORD, the Most High. —Psalm 7:17

            Let us give thanks to our Lord for His righteousness. He always does what is right because there is nothing wrong in Him.   He is so far above us! Let us also sing praises to Him. Yes, He is the Most High. He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords. There is none like Him. He is the Creator and Sustainer of all things. Yes, let us give Him thanks and praise His Holy Righteous Name. May it be so.

            The astounding thing is that He gives His righteousness to whoever calls on His Name—those who put their trust in Him.   He puts His righteousness into the account of those who don’t have any righteousness at all— an eternal righteousness, a righteousness that will never ever end! (Romans chapter 4). Our sinless, perfect, merciful and gracious Lord God Almighty has enabled us to know Him, to live for Him now and to be in glory with Him one day— forever in that Perfect Place. Dear Father thank You for Your gift of righteousness to me made possible through Jesus’ finished work at the cross and by His resurrection.   Oh, may I sing praises to You for this eternal gift. Yes, may this be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus. So be it!
