And he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” And he said to him, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.” Luke 23:42-43

Paradise! We are surely not in paradise now! Oh, how people think of being in a paradise, but they think in earthly, worldly terms.   What would one think is paradise on earth? I am sure it would include things like: no problems or conflict, beautiful weather, fine food… After that the list may change dependent on a person’s preference and values. But, there is no such paradise on earth. If is a fallen, sinful world with an evil, satanic influence that we live in. Look at what the world did to the Innocent Lamb of God, Jesus. Listen to how people speak against Him and drag His Name through the mud today. No, this world is no paradise. It does not exist on this planet but only in the imagination.

In His last moments on the cross Jesus mentioned paradise. The paradise He was going to and the paradise that the one criminal, who put his trust in Jesus, would experience that very day! Well, how was that possible? They were both hanging on a cross. They were both going to die. What was Jesus talking about? He was talking about the life of a believer beyond death. Jesus was talking about the real paradise that does exist where everything will be right and there will be not wrong there. Jesus will be there! “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.”   All who call on His Name will be there as well! (John 14:6; Act 4:12; Romans 3:23; Romans 5:1-12; Romans 6:23; Romans 10:0-10, 13). The question is… Will you be with Jesus in paradise one day?   Only those who follow Him will be there.   If you have not, please call on His Name and live for Him and not for yourself. May you do so today. If you have called on His Name— Are you truly following Him? Are you being obedient? (John 14:21; Luke 6:46). May it be so! All who love Him will be in paradise with Him one day. Oh… may that be soon!

Dear Father may my actions give evidence that I truly follow Jesus. May this be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the Name of Jesus Your Son.
