This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.

This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood.  Luke 21:19-20

Remember! Jesus gave His life for us… The illegal trials, the verdict of death, the mocking, the blindfolding, the beatings, the cross carrying, the cruel execution… He was given for us even though His innocence was known! Jesus was God’s GIFT to us— “For God so loved the world that he GAVE His one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16). “Nor can the GIFT of God be compared with the result of one man’s sin: The judgment followed one sin and brought condemnation, but the GIFT followed many trespasses and brought justification” (Romans 5:16). “For the wages of sin is death, but the GIFT of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23).   “For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not from yourselves; it is the GIFT of God, not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance as our way of life” (Ephesians 2:8-10).

Children… and adults… are eager to open up gifts— whether it is Christmas, birthdays or on any other occasions. Are we eager to know and live for this GIFT OF GOD GIVEN for us? May it be so! Jesus is the most precious GIFT we could ever receive. Now, out of gratitude of our hearts, may we live for Him. Remember, His body broken for us! Remember, His blood shed for us! Remember…

Oh Dear Father may I truly live a faithful life of gratitude for all Jesus is and what He has done for me.   May this be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus. So be it!
