EVIDENCES OF BELIEF
Oh come,
let us sing to the LORD; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our
salvation!
Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us
make a joyful noise to him with songs of
praise! For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all
gods. In his hand are the depths of the earth; the heights of the
mountains are his also. The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry
land. Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the
LORD, our Maker! 7 For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, and
the sheep of his hand. Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts, as at Meribah, as on the day at Massah in the
wilderness, when your fathers put me to the test and put me to the proof,
though they had seen my work. For forty years I loathed that generation and said, “They are
a people who go astray in their heart, and they have not known my
ways.” Therefore I swore in my wrath, “They shall not enter my
rest.” —Psalm 95

- He is the rock of our salvation
- Come into His presence with thanksgiving
- Sing songs of praise to Him
- He is great and King over all gods
- Worship Him
- He is the Lord our Maker
- Kneel before Him
- We are his people
- Listen to him
- Don’t have hard hearts toward Him
- Don’t test Him
- You have seen His work
- 40 years He loathed that generation
- They went astray
- They did not know His ways
- They would not enter His rest
There you have it. People will either worship him or they will harden their hearts against him. They will know Him or they will not know Him. They will worship Him or hate Him. They will go His way or go against His ways. They will rest in Him or they will not find rest. Here is some evidence as to who truly follows the Lord and who does not.
So what about you and me? Do we sing and praise Him? Do we recognize that He is over all? Have we understanding that He is the Creator of all? Are we listening to Him and living after His ways? Are we resting in Him? May it be so!
