ANGELS
ANGELS
After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth to prevent any wind from blowing on the land or on the sea or on any tree. Then I saw another angel coming up from the east, having the seal of the living God. He called out in a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm the land and the sea: “Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God.” Then I heard the number of those who were sealed: 144,000 from all the tribes of Israel. —Revelation 7:1-4
Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation? — Hebrews 1:14
And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, LORD, so that he may see.” Then the LORD opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. — II Kings 6:17
While I, Daniel, was watching the vision and trying to understand it, there before me stood one who looked like a man. And I heard a man’s voice from the Ulai calling, “Gabriel, tell this man the meaning of the vision.” As he came near the place where I was standing, I was terrified and fell prostrate. “Son of man,” he said to me, “understand that the vision concerns the time of the end.”— Daniel 8:15-17
While I was speaking and praying, confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel and making my request to the Lord my God for his holy hill—while I was still in prayer, Gabriel, the man I had seen in the earlier vision, came to me in swift flight about the time of the evening sacrifice.— Daniel 9:20-21
The angel said to him, “I am Gabriel. I stand in the presence of God, and I have been sent to speak to you and to tell you this good news. —Luke 1:19
In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. —Luke 1:26-27
But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. — Matthew 1:20
Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it. — Hebrews 13:2
Our Lord God Almighty has His angels working for our benefit on this planet. I wonder how many times we may have even seen an angel and have not ever realized it. Yes, angels are “ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation.” Angels are not to be worshipped (Revelation 19:9-10), but we can surely thank God for having them serve on our behalf! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DE7_VtGIR8o
Dear Father I may not understand too much about angels, but You clearly have them serving Your purposes in our lives. I thank You for that. May I be grateful in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus.
