THE GLORY AHEAD!

THE GLORY AHEAD!

On this mountain he will destroy the shroud that enfolds all peoples, the sheet that covers all nations; he will swallow up death forever. The Sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears from all faces; he will remove his people’s disgrace from all the earth. The Lord has spoken. —Isaiah 25:7-8

And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. —Revelation 21:3-4

On my mother’s side of the family there were eight children— 3 girls, 5 boys. Another uncle died this week. Now it is down to 1 girl and 1 boy! The shroud of death affects all peoples of the earth. It is a sheet of death that covers all nations. Nobody is immune. It will come to us all. The death of another uncle reminds me that I am getting closer to that time as well. It is a reminder that I should be using my time wisely and to be living to please our Lord God Almighty above all things that I might hear those words from Jesus— “Well done, good and faithful servant.” May it be so.

There is coming a time though when He will” swallow up death forever.” What a time that will be for all those who have called on the “Name of the Lord” (Romans 10:13). . “The Sovereign Lord will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away” and “the Lord has spoken.” He will do it!

151,600 people die each day…6,316 people die each hour… 105 people die each minute… Nearly two people die each second… 55.3 million people die each year. My uncle was included in that number this week. One day we will be included in that number. But “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do” (Ephesians 2:8-10). Death has no power over any of us who have called on Jesus! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nzBFv3Bzn3o

Thank You Father for the Blessed Hope that I have awaiting us in heaven. With that in mind may I live a life that is pleasing to You. Oh, that I would bring honor and glory to Your Name. May it be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus.
