FEAR THE LORD!

Whoever fears the Lord walks uprightly, but those who despise him are devious in their ways. —Proverbs 14:2

Those who truly have a right relationship with the Lord will be seen in the way they live. Their lives will be one of walking righteously and will be growing in righteousness. Those who despise the Lord will have lives of deceitfulness and not be straightforward. They may be scheming and underhanded, sneaky or conniving.

It is clear with so many we have come into contact with and speak of the Lord with that they do not want anything to do with Him because they want to do what they want to do. They know to follow the Lord is to leave their devious life and to live uprightly, but they love the darkness and do not want to come into the light. They cling to the evil and desire not to live for the truth.

Brother and sister, we have chosen to live for the Truth—- Jesus who is the Truth. May we be faithful in our walk with Him and keep from devious and evil ways— “To fear the LORD is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech” (Proverbs 8:13). Dear Father may I seek to be faithful to You. Oh, that I would shun evil and live for the Truth. May this be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus.
