OUR EBBING LIFE
OUR EBBING LIFE
Like water spilled on the ground, which cannot be recovered, so we must die. —II Samuel 14:14
Your life and my life is ebbing away. With each tick of the clock we are closer to death. That is just a fact of life. We all have this in common. Tick, tick, tick and now we are that much closer… Once water is poured out on the ground it cannot be retrieved and as we live life it cannot be retrieved. Life lived is life gone and we draw closer to our final breath on this planet.
Yet, for those of us who love and live for Jesus, ahead of us is forever life in Heaven. Yes, we will die unless Jesus comes back in our life-time, but death is just a brief passage, an archway to our home in Heaven. The way our life is poured out here on earth will be assessed at the judgment seat of Christ. He is looking to recognized us there for faithful service. There will be no condemnation. Jesus already took that for us… He poured His life out for us and now may we pour out our life for Him. Let us use the time wisely and be the type of people He desires us to be. Dear Father may this be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus as I walk through this day. Oh please, help me to serve in such a way today as to affect eternity. May it be so! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eiRhcR4Vg10
