BEWARE OF THE TEMPTERS!

And he said to his disciples, “Temptations to sin are sure to come, but woe to the one through whom they come! It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were cast into the sea than that he should cause one of these little ones to sin. —Luke 17:1-2

The Lord Jesus is not happy with those who tempt others to sin. In Romans 1:32 we are told there are those who do evil things and “they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.” What are some of the wicked things they approve? Well here’s what is mentioned in Romans 1: 21-31—-

For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things. Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen. For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error. And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless.

These darken hearted people encourage others to love anything other than God. They encourage sexual immorality of all types and the worship of creation. They have a love for money and have no problem murdering others. They are quick to ruin the reputation of others and turn children against their parents. They are cold hearted… These people know judgment will come, but they keep on doing these evil things and like it when others join with them in doing so. Dear Father, how sad it is that man gravitates toward sinful, wicked behavior and not toward You. I am grateful that You drew me to Jesus and may You be please to work in and through me to draw others to Jesus as well.
