AM I IN THE PLACE OF GOD

When Rachel saw that she was not bearing Jacob any children, she became jealous of her sister. So she said to Jacob, “Give me children, or I’ll die!”

Jacob became angry with her and said, “Am I in the place of God, who has kept you from having children?” —Genesis 30:1-2

“Am I in the place of God?” It is God who enables children to be born or not. Satan became what he is because he desired to take God’s place and this ensured his forever fall. Satan wanted to be worshipped as God and he still does today. One way people worship him is to do his will whether they realize this or not (II Timothy 2:26). Abortionists and those supporting abortion are being satanically motivated, seeking to take God’s place when deciding whether a baby will live or be aborted. Satan is called the “Destroyer” because that is his character (Revelation 9:11).

Satan receives the sacrifice of the baby in the womb just as much as he did with children in the outstretched arms of the Canaanite god Molech thousands of years ago. The most innocent and helpless among us are brutally murdered and Satan is worshipped through it. He hates God and those God has created so he seeks to destroy them before they are born or after. Yes, he is the Destroyer.

Just as drums and flutes were played loudly to drown out the cries of babies offered alive into the hands of Molech to be burned alive, so those in the womb are silenced as the abortionist’s hands destroy life. Yes, the Destroyer works through the destroyer abortionist in the same satanic way he worked through the destructive pagan Canaanite god. There is no difference. The Destroyer will use whatever method he can to destroy life.

Jacob understood that it was God who is the life-giver. Satan seeks to be the life-taker. Jesus said Satan “was a murderer from the beginning” (John 8:44). That truth is seen in Satan’s hand through abortion and those who support it as they seek to take the place of God. But God will have the last say…

Dear Father, be pleased to work in the hearts of those who are being tools in Satan’s hands to destroy children in the womb. Oh, be pleased to shine the light of Truth in their hearts by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus.
