TRUST HIM!
TRUST HIM!
He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” —Matthew 8:26
You of little “confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see” (Hebrews 11:1). This little faith is lack of confidence in who God is, what He has said and that His plan is perfect. This little faith lacks assurance in what we do not see. This lack of faith brings doubt, fear, depression and so many other negative outlooks.
The above verse in context is when Jesus was in the boat with His disciples when a fierce storm swept in on them. Waves were sweeping over the boat. In Luke 8:22-25 we are told that they were in great danger. All this time Jesus was sleeping. The waters were raging and the boat was being swamp. The disciple woke Jesus and said, “Master, Master, we’re going to drown!” Yeh, they really believed they were about to die by drowning.
It was then that Jesus “got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm. ‘Where is your faith?’ he asked his disciples.” Then “In fear and amazement they asked one another, “Who is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him.” They did not understand who Jesus really was. They lacked faith in Him.
How about You and I? Are we trusting Him for whatever we are presently going though, the situation we are now in? Are we of little faith and are fearing? Are we doubt or discouraged? Where are we focusing our attention— on the circumstances or on Jesus? Jesus says to us, “Where is your faith?” Trust Him! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vXMPNXXnCls
Dear Father, You are 100% trustworthy regardless of my circumstances. Oh, that I would fully trust You! May this be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son, Jesus.
