Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. —Hebrews 4:14-16 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3z_OoO_3suQ

Jesus knows what we go through and is able to empathize with us. He knows about our weaknesses. He Himself was tempted in every way just like we are. Yet the difference between Jesus and us is immense. He never gave into temptation. He never sinned. Unfortunately, we cannot say the same thing.

But, we are able to approach the throne of GRACE with confidence. Why? Because it is the throne of Grace— we get what we do not deserve there because of Jesus— God’s favor. We need to go there to receive mercy— to not get what we do deserve— we deserve judgment and Hell. It is at the throne of Grace that we find help in our time of need. We followers of Jesus are needy people and need to be at the throne of GRACE.

God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense

Fellow follower of Jesus, whatever background we come from, we are privileged people. Let us grow in our understanding of how fortunate we are and grow in our love for God and our love for people. May it be so! Do not forget that you are an heir of God and a joint-heir with Jesus. Wow! I mean WOW! Rejoice!

Dear Father, I thank You for Who You are— Gracious and Merciful— and for what You have done, are doing and will do in my life. I am grateful to be able to know You, to serve You and One day be with You forever in that perfect place with You and all who love You. What a joy that will be! May I be faithful in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son, Jesus.
