“You are my witnesses,” declares the Lord, “and my servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor will there be one after me. I, even I, am the Lord, and apart from me there is no savior. I have revealed and saved and proclaimed— I, and not some foreign god among you. You are my witnesses,” declares the Lord, “that I am God. —Isaiah 43:10-12

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” —Acts 1:8

Israel was to be a witness to the world. The Lord reveals, saves and proclaims, but unfaithful Israel was put aside (Romans chapters 9-11) and the church is now to be the witness to the world. Are you and I being faithful witnesses? Are we living like God wants us to live? Are we bearing witness with our actions? Are we bearing witness with our mouths? Let us shine for Him today!

Dear Father, help me to be sensitive to the people I come into contact with today and share the Good News with them for Your honor and glory to be revealed. May it be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus.
