Run! Complete The Race!

Run! Complete The Race!

I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. —Philippians 1:3-6

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith”(Hebrews 12:1-2).

Think God can finish what He started in you? Will you finish the race He has “marked out” for you? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eNjZlHARnEk

At the start of any race the end seems out of sight and a long way off. But then you pass the half-way point, then the three-quarter mark, then you’re looking at the last turn before the finish line comes into view and then you pass over the finish line with thankfulness. There is joy at crossing the line as well as relief.

You were “created in Christ Jesus” for specific purposes which God prepared specifically for you (Ephesians 2:10). He “marked out” the race course of your life. All that is in your life and will happen in your life He knew before you were even born. Now, how will I run that race? Will I be faithful in the work He has for me? Am I clinging to Him, trusting Him and truly believe He has my best interests in mind? Well, He does!

So, what part of the race He has marked out for you will you be running today? He has marked the race course out for your benefit and not your destruction. Keep on the course. He will finish the work He desires to do in your life today and for the rest of the race marked out for you until you cross the finish line. The finish line is getting closer! Keep running!

Dear Father, thank You for “marking out” the race for me. Now please help me sensitive to be on that course You developed specifically for me and to bring You honor and glory by running the race faithfully and accomplishing the work You have for me. May it be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus.
