SIN

SIN

Indeed, there is no one on earth who is righteous, no one who does what is right and never sins. —Ecclesiastes 7:20

When the sentence for a crime is not quickly carried out, people’s hearts are filled with schemes to do wrong. –Ecclesiastes 8:11

…one sinner destroys much good. —Ecclesiastes 9:18

And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve. —II Corinthians 11:14-15

Sin… thousands of years ago it entered through Adam and Eve. All that is evil can be traced back to that deception in the Garden of Eden. Since then man is prone to go his own way and do his own thing (Isaiah 53:6). Man thinks he is in control, that he is the master of his destiny, the captain of his life and doesn’t need a Savior.

The vast majority of people when ask “Are you a good person?” will say yes. They do not understand what sin is… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AUaBPcdq9kQ But God’s Word is clear and that is what counts— “As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands; there is no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one.” “Their throats are open graves; their tongues practice deceit.” “The poison of vipers is on their lips.” “Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness.” “Their feet are swift to shed blood; ruin and misery mark their ways, and the way of peace they do not know.” “There is no fear of God before their eyes” (Romans 3:10-18). Yes all people on the planet are in the same boat and their slave master captain is Satan (II Timothy 2:26).

“But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished—he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus” (Romans 3:21-26) Let us rejoice and be faithful to the One who loves us and proved it at the cross! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ysWIv4DJ7QI&list=PLcHqC9YNzSaD-O-rkP9o8hDA9jJ_oja4l&index=11

Dear Father, thank You for rescuing me from sin and judgment and to a relationship with Jesus. I am grateful and now may I live faithful in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus. May it be so!
