REPENT!

Repent of your wickedness and pray to the Lord. Perhaps he will forgive your evil thoughts, for I can see that you are full of bitter jealousy and are held captive by sin. —Acts 8:22-23

Sin is not to have dominion over the follower of Jesus Christ — “For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace” (Romans 67:14). Is there something in your life or mine that we need to repent of? 3340 metanoéō (from 3326 /metá, “changed after being with” and 3539 /noiéō, “think”) – properly, “think differently after,” “after a change of mind”; to repent (literally, “think differently afterwards”). Are you and I presently thinking wrongfully about something sinful?
