BE REAL!

“What made you think of doing such a thing? You have not lied just to human beings but to God.” —Acts 5:4

A lie is not telling the truth. It can appear that people are telling the truth, but that is because they have veiled the lie with just enough truth as to make it look like they are telling the truth. But God sees beyond the veil into the human heart. He knows all that is going in our inner-most being. Nothing is hidden from His sight— “Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account” (Hebrews 4:13). Is there something you are hiding from people? They may not know it, but God does and that is Who really counts. If you need to get something right with Him, do so now! If that means getting right with another person or other people, start that process now as well!

False fronts, fake smiles and words meant to give the appearance that all is well when it is not are lies. Why do we do this? Pride… is the motivator when this is going on. We want to be the god of our own lives and give the outward show that we are in fellowship with God and His people. But, we really want to be in control and not put our full trust in the Lord God Almighty. We live like atheists at times…

Dear Father, help me to fully trust in You. May I seek to be transparent and not be hypocritical and acting like everything is OK when it is not. Oh, that I would seek to be in fellowship with You constantly and with those who also love You.
