Then Nicodemus, the leader who had met with Jesus earlier, spoke up. “Is it legal to convict a man before he is given a hearing?” he asked. —John 7:50-51
How many times do people make rash choices before they have all the information? This is what the Jewish leaders were doing. They did not take the time to check into the details about Jesus and His origins. Therefore they came to a wrong decision. Instead of becoming children of God, they remained children of the devil (John 8:44).
Dear brother and sister, we have been allowed to know the information about Jesus and act upon it. The Lord God Almighty drew us to Himself. We are children of God… rejoice!
