JESUS SUFFERED, DIED, ROSE & IS COMING AGAIN!

For as the lightning flashes and lights up the sky from one end to the other, so it will be on the day when the Son of Man comes. But first the Son of Man must suffer terribly and be rejected by this generation. —Luke 17:24-25

Rejected by the world’s majority and executed by the suffering of the cross was not the end of Jesus! Oh, no… He rose victorious, ascended into Heaven and “why are you standing here staring into heaven? Jesus has been taken from you into heaven, but someday he will return from heaven in the same way you saw him go!” (Acts 1:1). He is coming back !

Let us be the people He desires us to be and be about His business (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8). “Let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith” (Hebrews 12:1-2). Dear Father, please help me to keep my eyes on Jesus and run the race You have laid out for me. Yes, may I be faithful in this race by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus.
