FAITHFULNESS

“And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you? He requires only that you fear the Lord your God, and live in a way that pleases him, and love him and serve him with all your heart and soul.–Deuteronomy 8:2-3

What does God require of you? You are to fear Him, live in a way that pleases Him, love Him and serve Him with all your heart and soul.

· “Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.” —Matthew 10:28

· “And we will receive from him whatever we ask because we obey him and do the things that please him.” —I John 3:22

· “Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment.” —Matthew 22:27-38

· “Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, “Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant of all.” —Mark 9:35

These are not optional components as we follow Jesus. This is what God desires of us. May we be His faithful followers today and always…
