REDEEMED!

What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul? —Mark 8:36-37

So many people live for the here and now. But the temporary is so short lived and so many people do not see the value of their own soul. It is more valuable that the combined value of all this world’s resources. It is of eternal value. Jesus proved this when He, the Eternal Son of God, went to the cross to pay the eternal sin debt of man.

Only Jesus could do this because “No one can redeem the life of another or give to God a ransom for them— the ransom for a life is costly, no payment is ever enough— so that they should live on forever and not see decay” (Psalm 49:7-9). No mere man could ever have paid the penalty for the sin of man— only the Eternal Son of God could have done this and He did. Let us praise His Holy Name! https://youtu.be/bo9ZWX1lEKI?t=1023

Dear Father, You accomplished through Your Son, Jesus, what man could never accomplish— You rescued us from our sin through the cross and resurrection. Oh, may I bask in the glory of this wondrous truth and live a life of grateful service in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son.
