The Lord is good, a strong refuge when trouble comes. He is close to those who trust in him. But he will sweep away his enemies in an overwhelming flood. He will pursue his foes into the darkness of night. Why are you scheming against the Lord? He will destroy you with one blow; he won’t need to strike twice! —Nahum 1:7-9 Are your thoughts like these? — “I trust in you for salvation, O Lord!” (Genesis 49:18); “Those who know your name trust in you, for you, O Lord, do not abandon those who search for you.” (Psalm 9:10); “The helpless put their trust in you.” (Psalm 10:14); “I trust in the Lord for protection.” (Psalm 11:1); “I trust in your unfailing love.” (Psalm 13:5); “I Trust in you, my God!” (Psalm 25:2); “I trust in the Lord.” (Psalm 31:6); “Trust in the Lord and do good.” (Psalm 37:3); “Oh, the joys of those who trust the Lord.” (Psalm 40:4); “I trust in God, so why should I be afraid?” (Psalm 56:4, 11); “They do not fear bad news; they confidently trust the Lord to care for them.” (Psalm 112:7); “All you who fear the Lord, trust the Lord!” (Psalm 115:11); “Trust in the Lord with all your heart.” (Proverbs 3:5); “Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock.” (Isaiah 26:4); “But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31); “But blessed are those who trust the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence.” (Jeremiah 17:7); “Those who are left will be the lowly and humble, for it is they who trust in the name of the Lord.” (Zephaniah 3:12); “Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me.” (John 14:1); “This is a trustworthy saying, and I want you to insist on these teachings so that all who trust in God will devote themselves to doing good. These teachings are good and beneficial for everyone.” (Titus 3:8); “Through Christ you have come to trust in God. And you have placed your faith and hope in God because he raised Christ from the dead and gave him great glory.” (I Peter 1:21).

Are you trusting the Lord God Almighty? Unless we trust Him fully with our lives then we will not live to the capacity that He has given us. Trust Him for what He desires to do in and through your life! Trust Him today!

Dear Father, please help me not to trust in myself, but to put my trust in You and You alone. May this be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son, Jesus.
