TRUE CONFESSION

Then the high priest asked him, “Are you the Messiah, the Son of the Blessed One?” Jesus said, “I Am. And you will see the Son of Man seated in the place of power at God’s right hand and coming on the clouds of heaven.” Then the high priest tore his clothing to show his horror and said, “Why do we need other witnesses? You have all heard his blasphemy. What is your verdict?” “Guilty!” they all cried. “He deserves to die!” —Mark 14:61-64
I was talking with a person one time and they said to me, “You don’t know who you are talking to.” He thought himself to be somebody really special, I guess—- more important than anyone else. I suppose I could have said, “You don’t know who you are talking with.” I didn’t, but I am a child of the Creator and Sustainer of all things. What is greater than that?

Jesus clearly stated who He was when asked, but they did not believe Him. So it is today when it is communicated who Jesus is. Many people just do not want to believe it. In the context of the verses above it was the high priest who had asked Jesus if He was the “Messiah, the Son of the Blessed One.” Jesus affirmed that He was and that they would “see the Son of Man seated in the place of power at God’s right hand and coming on the clouds of heaven.” The high priest was horrified, believing that Jesus had blasphemed and asked for the leaders’ verdict. They all said, “Guilty!” they all cried. “He deserves to die!” They had come to the wrong conclusion about Jesus. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D-zk-E55dRk

What about you? Who do you say Jesus is? To come to a wrong conclusion will be eternally destructive! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZD6khv6pGkw

Dear Father, thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus, that whosever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Please help me to encourage others to trust in Him by the power of the Holy Spirit. May it be so!
