THE CREATOR
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. —Genesis 1:1

By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible. —Hebrews 11:3
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. —Hebrews 11:6
From what I have read atheists make up 11% of the world’s population. Here in the U.S. I read that atheists consist of about 6% of the population. So there are many who believe in “something” higher than themselves. Actually, according to Romans 1:18-21, there is not one person who has an excuse not to believe in God. All know that God exists, but there are those who “suppress the truth by their wickedness.” They make a choice not to believe.
People can know God exists through creation (Psalm 19:1-4). But without faith in Him, without trusting Him one cannot have a relationship with Him and so many things will not make sense. For example, why do many people deny that God created the world we live in? It is because this is understood through faith “that the universe was formed at God’s command.” Why do many disbelieve the virgin birth? It is because it is only understood by faith. What is faith? It is when a person comes to Him and understands they are accountable to Him. “Faith is having confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” Faith is taking God at His Word and understanding the evidence for Him all around us. “But my righteous one will live by faith. And I take no pleasure in the one who shrinks back” (Hebrews 10:38). “The righteous will live by faith” (Galatians 3:11). “For we live by faith, not by sight” (II Corinthians 5:7). “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me” (Galatians 2:20).
