TERROR!

“Terror, terror, terror to all who belong to this world because of what will happen when the last three angels blow their trumpets.” —Revelation 8:13

Terrorism is the talk of the day today for so many… and climate change… and politics as we come into the 2016 election year. Terror in many forms will occur in this world until Jesus sets all things right. It is just the nature of this fallen world and fallen man. There are people in this world whose intent is evil toward others as they do not desire to follow the Lord God Almighty. This is nothing new. It happened in the first family not long after the Fall of man (Genesis 4). Cain killed his brother Abel because Abel was righteous and Cain was “of the evil one” (I John 3:12).

Satan deceived Eve and Adam followed her lead. Sin and death entered when they disobeyed God (Genesis 3) as Satan sought to drive a wedge between God and man. He does the same today, but he also seeks to drive wedges between nations, people groups, families and individuals. He is a schemer and for the most part, the world does not even understand this.

In the future God is going to judge Satan and this world. People can deny this all they want, but it is the truth. It will be a “terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God” (Hebrews 10:31). Listen to what will be some of the judgments that will be coming directly from God against this rebellious world:

“A third of the earth was burned up, a third of the trees were burned up, and all the green grass was burned up.” —8:7

“A third of the sea turned into blood, a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.” —8:8-9

“a third of the sun was struck, a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of them turned dark. A third of the day was without light, and also a third of the night.” —8:12

God’s righteous judgment on this planet is done in total justice. People will get what they deserve for rebelling against a holy, just, righteous and perfect God and for rejecting His Son with all the meaning behind that! Be ready to meet your God! How grateful to know that those of us who have trusted the Lord Jesus need not fear. Jesus took the judgment for us. We will be with Him forever! Woe to those who have not trusted Him. If you have not, please do so. His patience will run out one day—“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance” (II Peter 3:9). He loves you and desires you to come to Him, trust Him. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gIYmuEMPxsc

Dear Father, please help me and us to invite others to trust the Lord Jesus Christ. Oh, be please to do so!
