Have faith in God. —Mark 11:22
Faith… you are practicing it right now by trusting that chair you are sitting in. When you drive your car somewhere faith is being practiced in many ways. You put your faith in people. Unfortunately, the chair and car can break and the trust you put in people can be broken as well.
Faith in God never disappoints when we are truly trusting in Him at all times and in all circumstances. “Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see… And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him” (Hebrews 11:1, 6). All of chapter 11 of Hebrews gives us examples of how faith is worked out in people’s lives. The fruit of faith is fathomable in these faithful fellows! Evidence of faith will be seen in a follower of Jesus. Otherwise “As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead” (James 2:26). All through Hebrews chapter 11 we read “By faith so and so did such and such.
How about you and I, what we accomplishing through our faith in God? How might God finish this about you and me? By faith Ted ___________. How would God fill in that blank about me? How would He fill it in about you? Fellow follower of Jesus, may we be faithfully following Him, bearing evidence by producing fruit. May it be so.
Dear Father, may I be bearing much fruit to honor Your Name in the authority of Jesus and by the Holy Spirit’s power. Please help me to yield to Your desires and carry out Your will in my life.
