PROMISES

And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory. —Ephesians 1:13-14

You put a deposit down on merchandise and by so doing you are stating the intent of ownership. It could be a car, a house or anything else. You also get a receipt stating that you have put down a deposit and this guarantees that this object will be yours. The receipt is either sealed or has address of the one giving the receipt.

When a person hears the gospel of Jesus Christ— that He died for our sin and was raised the 3rd day— and they believe that message then that person is 1- included in Christ 2- sealed with the Holy Spirit of God 3- is guaranteed an inheritance. Have you trusted Jesus? Then these promises are for you. Have you not trusted Jesus? Then these promises can be yours if you truly trust His finished work at the cross. May you do so today!

Dear Father, thank You for all the wonderful promise You have given us in Jesus!
