GOD DID WHAT MAN COULD NOT DO

GOD DID WHAT MAN COULD NOT DO

Truly no man can ransom another, or give to God the price of his life, for the ransom of their life is costly and can never suffice, that he should live on forever and never see the pit. —Psalm 49:2-9

But God will ransom my soul from the power of Sheol, for he will receive me. Selah —Psalm 49:15

The sin problem which causes the evilness of mankind is ignored by most people. It surely has not gone unnoticed by God as much as many would like to think that is the case. Sin is an immense offense against the God who made us. It is a rebellious shaking of our fist at Him, not wanting Him, the Creator and Sustainer of all, to rule over our lives. “But who are you, a human being, to talk back to God? Shall what is formed say to the one who formed it, ‘Why did you make me like this?’” (Romans 9:20). Your sin, my sin is an absolute affront to God and He will hold each of us accountable.   Sin is man’s problem, not God’s.   Man chose that path away from God.   Yes, God gave man choice and man made the choice to go against God.

For those who have “called on the name of the Lord” to be saved from sin, well, they will appear before the Judgment Seat of Christ to give an account of how they lived.   This judgment is for believers.   They will not be condemned there because Jesus already took their condemnation, but they will give an account of faithfulness toward Him. Believers will be rewarded for faithfulness or lose reward for lack of faithfulness.   For those who do not want anything to do with Jesus, well, they will appear at the White Throne Judgment (Revelation 20:11-15). “Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death—the lake of fire. And if anyone was found whose name was not written in the Book of Life, he was thrown into the lake of fire).” You won’t want to be there! It is an eternal doom.

What is the solution to our sin problem? Even if every person on the planet that has ever lived offered their lives so we would be forgiven, that would not be enough. Actually, there is nothing a person could ever do to be ransomed or redeemed from their sin. No other person could do anything as well. Sin is an eternal issue that condemns a person to Hell forever!

But what man cannot do God did. He Himself provided the way for man to be ransomed or redeemed. “For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect” (I Peter 1:18-19). “Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood” (Revelation 1:5). Yes, what man cannot do, God did!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZD6khv6pGkw&t=22s

Dear Father I am so grateful that Jesus was willing to take the penalty and punishment for my sin so I could have a relationship with You through Him. Now may I live faithfully for You by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus. So be it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mUxI-ynsTnM
