THE RETURN OF JESUS

THE RETURN OF JESUS

“Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.” —Acts 1:11

Jesus had just ascended into heaven and His disciples stood gaping up when He was gone from their sight. That is when two “two men stood by them in white robes.” These heavenly visitors told the disciples that Jesus would “come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D_gBpvihKcQ&list=UUf1NPIFOBwzTLVQiEDnq4Cw&index=1

When Jesus comes, they were told, He would come in the same way He went. He went bodily before them. Jehovah Witnesses say Jesus has already come back and that He came back in “spirit form.”   That is because the J.W.’s believe when He rose from the grave He “became a life-giving spirit” and did not rise with a body of flesh and bone. But Jesus said, “Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see; a spirit does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have” (Luke 24:39). J.W.’s have to believe that Jesus rose and ascended as a spirit in order to promote their doctrine that Jesus has already come back in spirit form to set up the kingdom.   They claim this happened in 1914 AD.   “Having noted how Christ comes, as an invisible spirit and by his turning his attention to the affairs of earth, and that his presence began in 1914” (https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/1955121).   It is seen easily from God’s Word that this is a bogus claim. Cultic groups have many major doctrinal errors and not just one. Deceptions created to supposedly bolster the truth instead reveal their straying from the Truth.

Beware of any group that denies essential teachings from God’s Word. The only way to know if anyone is denying the essential teachings of God’s Word is to know His Word yourself. How many have been duped into the J.W.’s or other cults because they did not know what God’s Word said for themselves? You can know what God’s Word says for yourself. It is the Holy Spirit from God who is the teacher. “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth” (II Timothy 2:15).  Stay away from any “group” that claims that their “group” only has the truth. Yeh, keep away from them and be a student of God’s Word yourself.

Jesus will come back in bodily form just as the angels told the disciples.   It has not happened in spirit form as the J.W.’s claim. Many generations of the past believed Jesus could come in their life-time. As we look at the world situation we are surely a whole lot closer to His return and definitely could say “Jesus could come back in our life-time.” Either way we will see Jesus, whether by His coming or by our dying and going to be with Him. Rejoice!

Dear Father may You be pleased to open the eyes of many who have been deceived into the J.W. organization and Truth denying groups. Be pleased to help them see who Jesus really is and bow the knee to Him only. May this be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son, Jesus. So be it.
