NOTHING IS TOO DIFFICULT FOR GOD

NOTHING IS TOO DIFFICULT FOR GOD

And he said, “Thus says the LORD, ‘I will make this dry streambed full of pools.’ For thus says the LORD, ‘You shall not see wind or rain, but that streambed shall be filled with water, so that you shall drink, you, your livestock, and your animals.’ This is a light thing in the sight of the LORD. He will also give the Moabites into your hand. —II Kings 3:16-18

Jehoram, king Israel, had asked Jehoshapat, king of Judah, and Edom to go to war with him against rebellious king Mesa of Moab.   They agreed to and journeyed by way of the Desert of Edom and there was no water. The streambed was dry.

These three kings went to Elisha the prophet to seek counsel, knowing the Word of God was with him. Elisha told them “the Lord said, ‘I will make this dry streambed full of pools.’ For thus says the LORD, ‘You shall not see wind or rain, but that streambed shall be filled with water, so that you shall drink, you, your livestock, and your animals.’” Yes and that is exactly what happened— “The next morning, at the time of the morning sacrifice, water suddenly flowed from the direction of Edom and filled the land” (II Kings 3:20).  Yes, the Lord provided water for the armies and animals of the three kings and He also gave them victory over the Moabites.   Nothing is too difficult for our Lord!

This is what was said by Elisha— “This is a light thing in the sight of the LORD.” Not only was the giving them water and victory over Moab “a light thing in the sight of the LORD,” but all things are “a light thing” for the Lord to do!   He is all powerful— “Ah, Sovereign LORD, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you” (Jeremiah 32:17).  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jpM-rPD0TPs

So, what difficulty are you facing? Seek the Lord. Nothing is too difficult for Him. You are in His plans and purposes. Seek His face and be obedient His Word. He can be fully trusted to carry out what is best for you!— “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows” (James 1:17). Gifts from God come in unexpected packages for His children.

Dear Father I am so grateful that You give only good gifts to benefit Your children for Your glory. May I remember this and be faithful for the rest of my life in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus. So be it!
